Iranian President inaugurated a 307-MW, F-class gas unit at the Sahand combined-cycle power plant in East Azerbaijan on 3 November 2025.The investment volume for the unit was 109 million Euros.

GNEC is responsible for engineering supervision services of the power plant project and also the site supervision services of the related substation.

Sahand Combined-Cycle Power Plant in East Azerbaijan is under construction at kilometer 7 of Bonab-Tabriz road, adjacent to Sahand Steam Power Plant.
