The EPC and Operation Project of the Industrial Estate Wastewater Treatment Plant has been planned for use in the Semnan Combined-Cycle Power Plant, with the objective of constructing an advanced wastewater treatment plant to supply the water required by the Saman Power Plant in Semnan City.
Given the unavailability of a treated municipal wastewater transmission pipeline in the near future, the effluent from the Semnan Industrial Estate Wastewater Treatment Plant has been considered as the project's raw water source.
The role of the Water, Infrastructure and Environment Department is to supervise the design and implementation of this project.
Due to the poor quality of the incoming wastewater, particularly its TDS level of approximately 7,750 mg/L and the presence of pollutants such as organic matter, suspended solids, grease, and oil, the construction of an advanced, multi-stage treatment system prior to the Reverse Osmosis (RO) unit has been necessary.
Under this project, the pretreatment and advanced treatment processes have been designed to ensure that the quality of the water entering the RO system reaches the required range, thereby enabling the stable and safe operation of the power plant's water treatment system.
The images below show the initial stages and commencement of the current project.
